I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) in Washington in November 2024, after spending four years as an elementary school counselor. During my time in the school setting, I had the privilege of working with hundreds of children—both one-on-one and in small groups—supporting them through challenges like anxiety, stress, trauma, grief and loss, family changes, peer conflicts, and building social skills.
I believe that every child is the expert of their own mind, and that meaningful growth in therapy starts with a strong, trusting relationship. My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where your child can explore their thoughts and feelings, reflect on their experiences, and learn new tools to cope with life’s challenges. I aim to meet each child where they are, using a combination of approaches—including solution-focused, internal family systems, play, and person-centered therapies—tailored to their individual needs. Because children express themselves in many different ways, I often incorporate art, play, toys, and games into sessions to help them feel at ease and express their emotions in ways that feel natural and comfortable. My goal is to help your child feel seen, heard, and empowered as they grow.
Specialties
I specialize in supporting children (ages 7 and up) through a wide range of challenges, including anxiety and stress, trauma, grief and loss, family transitions, peer conflict, social skill development, school-related concerns, and relationship issues. My goal is to help children feel understood and supported as they navigate life’s ups and downs, while working closely with families to promote lasting, meaningful growth.
Therapy Techniques
In sessions, I often draw from solution-focused therapy, play therapy, internal family systems, and person-centered approaches. I tailor each child’s treatment to fit their unique needs, interests, and ways of engaging in the therapeutic process.
